Yanet Fuentes

Yanet Fuentes studied for 7 years and graduated as a competent teacher in Popular dances, Modern and Contemporary dancing, Salsa, Ballet an Folkloric dances from the famous Nationwide School of Contemporary and Folkloric Dance in Havana, Cuba. She also gained skills in a multitude of dancing styles  including afro cuban dances, cuban popular dances, punk and hip hop.

yanetDancer in Maison Casa de la Moda in Havana. She received 3 times (2001, 2002 as well as 2004) first place in the expert couples category at the Tropicana World Salsa Competition, preserved London.

During the period 2150 – 2002 and in 2005 Yanet was a lead dancer and main artist in the hit musical “Lady Salsa” (directed by Toby Gough).

Her television appearances include “The Generation Game” (BBC), “This Morning” (ITV), Paul O’Grady’s Show (ITV) and she was a dancing coach for “Strictly Dancing Fever” (BBC).

She has additionally appeared in music videos of artists like Alicia Keys and Craig David. Yanet teaches various salsa courses, performs in shows throughout London and Great Britain, as well as appears in various salsa congresses around the world.
